SSR Rotating Sphere - Heat Transfer

This app calculates the Nusselt number, used for estimating heat transfer efficiency, for a rotating sphere in a quiescent fluid. Calculations like these are integral in energy efficiency analysis such as high speed gas bearings. This app expedites the analysis by only requiring a few inputs to estimate the heat transfer in a rotating system of given input parameters. The result is a Nusselt number which can be used to estimate convective heat transfer.
