has to run on Lock Screen has to run on Lock ScreenThe fact that this has to run on the lock screen is causing me to uninstall it without even trying. My lock screen is full (with things that really matter to me) and I'm not removing anything. It's a deal breaker. To the programmers: Obviously, yes, you need to have this run in the background or as a scheduled task to periodically update tracking data. Just find another way.

Suggestions for developer: Suggestions for developer:Please add a way to change the location update frequency (every 30 min, 15 min, 2hr, 4hr, etc.). There also may be a bug in Surface 2's location services. My results only appear to be in the general zip code. Maybe add an upload document with the 50 most recent IP addresses, suggested location, and time stamp. Please enable this app to be used on multiple devices! Maybe add keywords to help this app be found when searching in the app store "find my surface," "find my PC," "track my computer," "location tracker," "find your PC," etc.

Opening .html doesn't work. Opening .html doesn't work.App claims one need only open devicelocation.html, but it just opens a blank tab in modern IE. However, I did find that using the address given, if opened in notepad, will sometimes open a map with a pin for the rough location. I mostly get a runtime error code: 800A1391. Overall opinion: Perfectly simple anti-theft system (assuming they don't look for it), but lacking in execution.
